Introducing , the creative founder of Auntie B's Wee Treasures—an online boutique offering beautifully handcrafted jewelry, unique gifts, home décor, and so much more.

Q1: What inspired you to start your business, and what keeps you motivated?

I retired from work as a Forensic Mental Health Nurse after a period of ill health and my brain was still travelling at the pace of my work. I took up painting pictures of family and friends’ pets. Then I started resin art as a hobby and people started encouraging me to accept payment for orders and to attend tabletop sales. What keeps me motivated is the support of family and friends, SPG and simply the joy of colour.

Q2: What challenges have you faced, and how have you overcome them?

Challenges faced have been simply finding a suitable workspace that doesn’t cost the earth. I have found a market stall owner who allows me to sell my work there for 1 day a week while volunteering in the shop. Also my mother-in-law has agreed I can build a workspace in her back garden.

Q3: Any advice for aspiring entrepreneurs, especially women?

My advice to other women entrepreneurs would be to know what you’re aiming to achieve and celebrate the small wins.

Q4: How has your Small Powerful Group and WEvolution supported you?

SPGs have helped me set realistic goals and to keep focused in achieving them. The networking opportunities are fantastic.

You can shop Auntie B’s Wee Treasures online, or see them in person at Pandora’s Box in Clyde Shopping Mall🛍️

Let’s give Bernadette a big cheer for launching her online shop and show her some love as she continues to rock her entrepreneurial journey!🎉
